Ph.D. Candidate
Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Technology Studies
The University of Alabama
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Scholars, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Nearly two decades after my Masters from the Russian Federation, I was awarded a Ph.D. in Business Management from India. My educational journey and research experiences afterwards ignited my sincere commitment to addressing the disparities in K-12 Education and Leadership in underdeveloped and developing societies. As I was raised in Bangladesh, a developing nation, I witnessed the pressing need for enhanced K-12 education and leadership. This firsthand experience and my unwavering dedication to driving positive change fueled my aspiration to pursue a second Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of Alabama.
My initial exposure to K-12 educational leadership came during my Ph.D. studies in India, coinciding with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic disrupted education globally and highlighted students' challenges in underprivileged regions like Bangladesh. Many needed more resources for online learning, and teachers needed help to adapt to new technologies. This compelled me to focus my first Ph.D. dissertation on "Behavioral Intention of Students Towards Online Learning, Ensuring Learning Continuity in the Higher Education Sector of Bangladesh."
I have received the prestigious Capstone Graduate Council Fellowship for five years in the graduate school of The University of Alabama for the second PhD journey in Educational Leadership. I am fully prepared to tackle the challenges that may arise during this Ph.D. journey, and my determination to create a positive societal impact remains unwavering. My ultimate aspiration is for my journey to inspire my son, who is just waiting for the Fall 2025 session at the University of Alabama.
